Intro
This is a three owner 2001 BMW 540iTA Touring in Oxford Green Metallic (324) over Sand Beige Leather (N6SN). It was originally registered in Virginia by the BMW dealer in Richmond, VA. It was then sold to the wife of the dealer and then purchased by the seller. It has an extensive service history by seller and car now shows approximately 82,500 miles. It has the 4.4 Liter V8 mated to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. It has a clean Carfax with no incidents reported, a clear title and is in Georgia.
Exterior
The exterior of this wagon is painted in Oxford Green Metallic with Piano black gloss trim and roof rails and OEM 16” Style 48 wheels (full size spare) wrapped in newer Kumho tires. It has Xenon headlights with headlight washers and power glass moonroof. The rear hatch struts were replaced, new drag link in steering, new tie-rod ends, new front sway bar end links and bushings, M5 rear sway bar with new bushings and end links, new Bilstein shocks B4 shocks, wheel alignment and ECS stainless steel brake lines. Seller states exterior of car has not been repainted and is original. The windshield was replaced 2 years ago but all other glass is original.
Interior
The interior is upholstered in Sand Beige leather with wood trim on doors, dashboard, and console. The seller had cotton BMW seat covers on the front seats for 5 years to protect upholstery. Seller added an M-sport steering wheel with controls. It has the original carpeted floor mats, there are no dead pixels in the dashboard gauges, all interior bulbs were replaced with LED bulbs.
Mechanicals
This 540iTA has the 4.4-liter V8 factory rated 290hp with 324 lb-ft of torque. The seller completed extensive maintenance with service records. Over the last six years a sample list of items replaced include thermostat replaced with a lower temp one, new water pump with metal impeller, new radiator and hoses, expansion tank, auxiliary fan switch, brass bleeder screw, E60 fan clutch and fan blade, valley pan gasket, new hose and gaskets on the accumulator, idler pulley and serpentine belt, plugs, valve cover gaskets, Magnaflow muffler, oil and filter, air cleaner, throttle body, throttle pedal assembly, throttle body wiring connector, engine mounts, knock sensors, transmission wiring harness, differential fluid change, and new guibo.
Imperfections
Dime size bump on hood.
Top of cellphone antenna is broken off.
Scrape on the rocker right in front of passenger rear wheel touched up.
Passenger door ding.
Tiny nick on fuel filler opening.

This is an extremely well maintained 540iTA owned by a BMW CCA member and enthusiast with excellent knowledge of the E39 platform.
