1965 PONTIAC GTO, PHS DOCUMENTED FACTORY TRI-POWER, 4-SPEED, PB
This is one good looking GTO in its original color, Code R Montero
Red. The parchment interior really pops against the red exterior.
It has fantastic fit and finish. It is very straight down both
sides, all the panels fit square and flush. The doors open and shut
like new. The clear coat finish is polished like glass. Door jambs
are just as glossy as the exterior. Every piece of exterior trim is
new or restored like new. Up front; the bumper, headlight bezels
and around the grills are like new. In the rear; bumper and tail
panel are in excellent shape. All the weather stripping has been
replaced. Door handles and all emblems have been replaced. It sits
on a set of Cragar SS wheels with nice trim rings, center caps and
a set of new BFG T/A radial tires. The interior looks very good.
The seat upholstery looks excellent. The door panels, carpet,
headliner, armrest bases and pads have all been replaced. It has
new sill plates. The rear package tray looks new. The rear seat is
nice. Between the bucket seats it has its factory Hurst 4-speed
shifter sticking out of the floor. It came equipped with factory
Rally gauges and tach and a factory AM radio (that works!)! The
heater controls slide with ease. There are a set of factory style
Pontiac floor mats. The engine compartment is highly detailed with
its period correct 389 cu in engine, that has been completely
rebuilt! The carbs have been completely restored and dialed in. The
master cylinder has been replaced along with a cadmium plated brake
booster. It also features a 4-core radiator with the correct clutch
fan. The engine bay, core support and firewall are painted in a
black satin finish. The undercarriage is as clean as the top side.
All the steering and suspension was replaced with new parts. The
floors are all clean metal, no signs of any patches. It has its
original 3:55 Saf-T-Track rear end. It also has a stainless steel
Magnaflow dual exhaust system that runs all the way out the rear
with correct factory style spitters. It has a newer gas tank,
sending unit and straps. The E-brake system is all complete and
working. The trunk is solid and nicely detailed with factory
splatter paint. It has a spare tire with cover, jack assembly,
trunk mat and jacking instruction decal. What an amazing GTO!
Tri-power 4-speed, PB and in its original color Montero Red! A
great investment!!
