For Sale: 1972 Triumph TR6 in Stratford, Connecticut

Vehicle Description

At the moment, the best TR6 we have.

Excellent body, I went over the edges of the body from front to rear bumper, the rockers, around the headlights, and the lower parts of the doors... NO sign of any bondo.  Very nice BRG paint.  Next, floors and chassis are excellent, no sign of non factory undercoating or patches, no rust, and no repairs.  All in all, about as good as one could imagine.

1,500 miles on rebuilt engine and transmission and overdrive, we drove it to our company from Virginia, ran flawlessly with 70+ psi oil pressure, no smoke, perfect running, and an overdrive that clicks 'in' and 'out' instantaneously.

Very nice interior with leather Miata seats with a perfect color match to the new interior panels.  Excellent wood dash and dash top.   And as a bonus, an excellent factory hardtop.   Making this a reasonable alternative to an MGBGT but STILL with the ability to shed its top.

Long list of recent improvements and replacements:  new bushings in trailing arms, differential, and sway bar.   All new universals in drive shaft and rear axles, new tie rod ends, new OEM exhaust, new fuel tank, new front wheel bearings, chassis reinforced at trailing arm mounts, new brake pads and shoes, new clutch hydraulics, excellent wiring, new Bosch alternator.

A wood steering wheel and NO STEREO......you know what means, don't you?  Never owned by a 'kid.'  Actually last owner was in the military in the Pentagon.

Very good chrome and trim throughout, nicely carpeted trunk, no rust down in the spare wheel well and (last but not least) can be sold with the expensive knock off Minilite style wheels OR with wire wheels.  The former for the 'racer' look, the later for the more classic look.   And as is sits, nearly new redline tires, the ones especially made for TR6s.

So, all rebuilt, no rust, lovely inside and out, optional hardtop, optional overdrive, classy wheels (one way or the other), hard to beat.   AND tested by us through six states.  So, if the question is 'can I drive this car back to Texas/Florida/California or wherever, the answer is YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(and if you want, sure, we can install a new stereo/CD with USB input and bluetooth)
