Kept Motors.) Rancheros were originally advertised by Ford as
Luxury Pickups, and the Ranchero was an interesting product as a
mix between a pickup and a small car. This particular Ranchero is
in stunning condition! Finished in a subtle color combination with
aftermarket wheels, a nice stance, and a 289 V8 under the hood.
This is a very nice vehicle whether you consider it a car, a truck,
or something in between. This Ranchero was treated to a nut and
bolt restoration with an amazing outcome. The exterior is finished
in the original body color of Medium Blue Metallic (code Q) over
Blue vinyl interior. The condition of this car is nice enough to
say it looks brand new, which is not a surprise for us, as all of
the vehicles that this particular client brought to us look that
way. The paint is beautiful, trim is very nice, and body panels
line up as they should. The underside is finished in red oxide with
all new suspension and exhaust components mounted nearby. Our
client noted that the body is original, other than a small patch
panel that was added above the muffler. Being a car that is
originally from California, the fact that the body was solid, other
than one spot, doesn't surprise us. A big pile of receipts also
goes with the car which show the process that our client went
through when working through this 20 year restoration project. The
light and dark blue vinyl interior compliments the exterior of the
car nicely. A two tone bench seat is the focal point, while a
padded dashboard that is finished just as it would've left the
factory shows extremely well. All the details from the chrome dash
trim, horn ring, gauges, and stereo look great! Under the hood is a
289ci V8 mated to a 3 speed C4 automatic transmission. The
powerplant is the original unit, which has been rebuilt along with
the original transmission. A Ford 8 rear end helps get power to the
wheels, while power drum brakes on all 4 corners help bring the car
to a stop. Speaking of the wheels, our client chose some American
Racing 15 5-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich white letter
tires to finish off the exterior. Now is your chance to own a
showroom clean '67 Ford Ranchero. Maybe you missed your chance to
own one of these back in the late '60's, or you had one and would
like to relive the past. This is a gorgeous car that will surely
take you back in time each time you get behind the wheel. Be sure
