Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer introduce fully restored, 1979
International Scout II to the red hot vintage 4X4 market. This
Scout is powered by the optional 345 V8 engine, automatic
transmission and International Harvester's proven 4 Wheel drive
system. Highlights include: Power steering, power brakes, locking
front hubs, steel step rear bumper, removable hard top with sliding
side glass, factory radio, front and rear bench seat, Rally Edition
decals, factory wheel covers with trim rings and white letter
tires.
This Scout has been the recipient of a body off restoration and
finished in its original factory color, code 4403 Sunburst Yellow
over black interior and black removable hard top. The miles are
"said to be original", the body was pulled off the frame, stripped
to bare metal, properly finished, primed and painted as you see it
today. The interior features new carpet, new seat upholstery, now
interior trim panels, original shifter, original dash and gauges
and new headliner. The underside is fully restored and detailed as
is the engine bay.
The 348 V8 engine starts right up and runs very good, the
transmission shifts as it should, the 4 wheel drive engages and
this International Scout runs and drives as it should.
The Scout II is by far the most refined model of the
International's Scout Family. The Scout II's remain one of the most
sought after vintage SUV's in today's market and quality examples
as the one offered here, will not last long on our floor. Vehicle
comes with owners manual and build sheet.
