The quality and handsome design features of the 1941 Packard One-Twenty were recognized by the prior owners of this Convertible Coupe. There were only two of them, both in California, and in fact the car has letter from the family of the original owner documenting the one family ownership until recently. The car was treated to a thorough, careful, correct restoration by the more recent of them. Thoroughly modern design characterized the 1941 Packard's including reducing the wheel diameter to 15", eliminating running boards and blending the headlights into the pontoon front fenders for the first time on a Packard. The 120, or "One-Twenty" as Packard preferred to call it, was the heart of Packard's 1941 offering. Powered by Packard's 282 cubic inch inline eight which developed 120 horsepower and riding on a 127" wheelbase, 17,100 One-Twentys were built. By far the most sporting was the Convertible Coupe and this is a beautifully presented example in Light Yellow with Light Brown leather interior, a Black cloth top and matching top boot. It has wide whitewall tires, bright wheel trim rings, radio, clock and front bumper overriders to protect the tall, elegant Packard grille. The paint, interior, chrome and glass all have been redone to very high standards, with particularly thoughtful attention paid to the engine bay, firewall and detailing under the hood. This is a high quality automobile which has received treatment appropriate to the quality which Packard designed and built into each of its Nineteenth Series One-Twenty Eights.
