Built by the current owner circa 1987, the vehicle was carefully stored for 27 years between the mid-1990s and early 2020s when it was uncovered and restored to its original condition. The fiberglass body is coated in a special Imron paint and clearcoat that has retained its shine, and the interior has been refreshed with new brown vinyl interior and brown carpets.

Built on a VW chassis, this kit is powered by a rear-mounted 1971 1600cc VW engine with a manual transmission. A manually operated canvas top is complemented by a tan-covered spare tire mounted to the rear.
