Mr. Detreitos sold this 356 to the past owner, who was a longtime
owner from 1972 to 2024. Karosserie Ltd. In Fairfax, Virginia
performed a complete bare-metal restoration; the process took over
two years and was documented. Karosserie Ltd. rebuilt the
transmission, replacing all components as necessary with all new
gaskets and seals. The engine was rebuilt several times over the
years as well. By the end of 2023, European Collectibles purchased
this 356SC Cabriolet, and the following work was performed,
including rebuilding the braking system, cleaning the fuel system,
installing new tires, a valves adjustment, the jets cleaned, the
engine was detailed, tuned and a compress test was performed with
the following results #1 175, #2 175, #3 168, #4 175. This 356SC is
turnkey and performs amazingly with plenty of horsepower with an
excellent shifting transmission.
This 356SC Cabriolet is powered by a 1600cc engine (Type 616/16),
producing 95 horsepower. It's paired with a manual 4-speed
transmission (Type 741) and features a four-wheel disc braking
system. This 356SC is not just a classic; it's a piece of history.
It comes complete with photo documentation of the restoration, a
Certificate of Authenticity, a spare wheel, a jack, a tool kit, a
boot cover, and 52 years of service history. Don't miss this rare
opportunity to own a highly desirable top-of-the-line 356SC
Cabriolet in its original color combination, equipped with its
