1983 Jeep CJ-5, Total Frame Off Restoration.
1983 was the last year for CJ-5 production.
this Jeep when through an 8 month meticulous frame off restoration, including newly rebuilt 4.2L I6 engine, including all the associated components, alternator, starter, power steering pump, water pump, rebuild Motorcraft 2150 carburetor, headers, exhaust system, new upgraded power brakes, including new master cylinder and brake booster, front rotors and brake pads and newer rear brakes. Behind the engine sits desirable rebuilt T-176 4 speed manual transmission with brand new clutch, behind the transmission is Dana 300 Dual-Range transfer case, AMC 20 rear end and Dana 30 front end with manual locking front hubs. Frame was stripped and painted, new gas tank and gas tank skid plate was installed.
Body parts were painted individually and Jeep was then re-assembled. Exterior of the Jeep is painted with a custom Sunset Orange, while the underside was undercoated and interior was Rino-lined for worry free maintenance and rust prevention. Interior has lots of custom features that include: reclining bucket seats, custom dashboard with custom Digital Speedometer gauge cluster, new gauges, new indicator lights as well the knobs, new JENSEN touch screen double din stereo with Bose speakers. 5 Gang Blue LED Waterproof Rocker Switch Panel. Steering column , grab handle, glove box door and transmission cover plate painted same color as the exterior, new Steering wheel, custom side mirrors , hood vents and graphics. New LED headlights and taillights as well the side marker and front park/ turn signal lights were installed, as well new fender flares, all seals and boots were replaced. Jeep has a 3” lift with 5 Aluminum wheels and brand new 33x12.5r15 Milestar
Patagonia M/T tires. Custom front bumper with build in fog lights and a light bar. Rear has new upgraded heavy duty cross member.
Jeep runs and drives amazing, better than when it was new.
