Vehicle Description
1966 Plymouth Satellite
The 1966 Satellite was the top trim line for Plymouth "new"
mid-size model. Stylish bucket seats and a center console define as
quintessential street rod equipment. Essentially what a street
machine industry was built upon.
The '66 is sporting all new interior buckets, door panels, and rear
seat done in deluxe pattern in white. Keeping to the correct look
the dash has been left stock. The power steering makes driving a
breeze. The dark metallic blue paint (code E) is stunning.
The '66 has the kind of "more" that sets one apart from the rest is
a 340ci from a 1970 Challenger. The 340 V8 engine is one of the
most iconic and legendary muscle car engines ever. Even though it's
a small-block displacing 340 cid, it can take down 400+ cubic inch
big-blocks with ease. Building a B-Body 340 engine is the correct
option for better front-to-rear balance. Plus, it's always good to
make a statement to let others know you're doing it your way. It's
probably mistaken for a mild but unassuming stocker. But when the
340ci fires up let the smiles begin. Horsepower and Performance
sorry no dyno numbers, but it's hitting about 290 horsepower.
However, most enthusiasts consider that to be a wild
underestimation. Many argue it really makes more than 320
horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. Transmission is 727 Torqueflite
with a console-mounted factory shifter. Differential is an 8 3/4
with 3.23 gear. The rumble comes from a dual Flowmaster outfit and
a 2.5-inch exhaust. Suspension has replacement bushings and other
new pieces keep it safe, as well as rear leaf's and fresh shocks.
How about some stopping action? Outfit with new front and rear
drums. The 1970 Mopar rally wheels with trim rings and center caps
equipped with Goodyear Eagle ST's P215/60R14's. This is an all-rust
free Satellite. Discover what an automotive legend can ad fun and
